Bowling Anyone?

Assisting (and shooting along) to a photographer Russell Yip (San Francisco Chronicle) on a shoot for 'SF Is' at the Bowling alley in Golden Gate Park.

The Choreographer

Adia Tamar Whitaker, choreographer who is inspired by Afro-Haitian work is the founder of Ase Dance Theater Collective in Brooklyn. She is a former student from San Francisco State University. The portrait section with Adia was, so far, my favorite assignment for the San Francisco Chronicle.

Ice-skating in San Fran..

Every winter there is an ice-skating ring downtown SF for people to ice skate outdoors and imagine there is a real snowy winter out there.. Not really.. But nice try..

SF MOMA

Beside having the Avedon exhibit all to ourselves, we spend the day setting up and shooting a model between paintings in the SF Museum of Modern Art. Along with Adam Lau, I was assisting to photographer Russell Yip (SF Chronicle) on a shoot for the January issue of "SF Is." These are few images I snapped along during the day. With one exception, no strobes used, just available light.
